Continuous learning and self-assessment are vital components of the professional journey for every doctor. Staying updated with new medical concepts, embracing technological advancements, and keeping abreast of the latest developments, are essential for delivering optimal patient care. Recognizing the importance of these aspects, HiDoc Dr, India’s leading platform for medical professionals, is committed to finding innovative ways to support and engage doctors nationwide. As part of this commitment, HiDoc Dr recently conducted the National Medical Aptitude Test (NAT), offering medical students, practising doctors, and specialists an exciting opportunity to assess their skills and knowledge.

The highly competitive exam, designed to evaluate cognitive abilities, visual perception, logical reasoning, and critical thinking, received an overwhelming response from over 6000 applicants. The test, which commenced on May 1st and ran until May 31st , 2023, aimed to provide participants with an opportunity to test their knowledge and enhance their professional credibility.

To ensure the test’s quality and accuracy, a dedicated team of six, led by Varun Gadia (COO, HiDoc Dr.), developed a comprehensive questionnaire. The questionnaire was carefully reviewed and approved by an expert medical team, ensuring the evaluation of relevant skills and knowledge.

The NAT consisted of 75 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 50 minutes. Participants were required to achieve a minimum score of 50% to pass the test. Each incorrect response incurred a negative marking of -1, emphasizing the importance of accuracy and precision, qualities that make for a skilled medical practitioner.

“We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to the National Medical Aptitude Test,” said Dr. Varun. “The high number of applicants reflects the interest and commitment of medical professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge. We are confident that NAT will keep providing participants with a valuable opportunity to test their abilities and potentially earn the recognition that elevates their professional credibility.”

An examination of such a large scale could not have been achieved without collaborative teamwork. Besides the content team, and the team of medical experts involved in the process of creating the test, the marketing team also worked hard to ensure the success of the NAT. The marketing team successfully reached out to a diverse pool of around 6000 applicants through various channels, with a specific focus on young doctors. Social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube played a crucial role in promoting the test. The team also leveraged influencer marketing strategies to reach a wide audience of doctors across India and other countries. The Technical Team of HiDoc Dr has been instrumental in providing strong support for the successful execution of the test.

The 745 participants who completed the NAT will receive a Test Completion certificate, recognizing their effort and dedication in taking part in this challenging examination. The top 10 participants who excelled in the test will be awarded Exclusive UpToDate Subscriptions, each worth INR 30,000. These subscriptions will provide them with access to the latest medical information and research, allowing them to stay at the forefront of their field.

The NAT is a testament to HiDoc Dr’s relentless efforts to create a positive impact in the medical field in India. By providing a platform for medical practitioners to assess their strengths and weaknesses, the NAT increases their chances of success and instils confidence in their acquired knowledge. It encourages a learning attitude that is invaluable for medical professionals.

Through initiatives like the National Medical Aptitude Test, HiDoc Dr aims to equip doctors across the country with a competitive edge, enabling them to excel in their careers and provide the highest quality of care to their patients.

  • The Honda City, followed by the Hyundai Ioniq 5, returned consistent results in the AEB test.
  • Mahindra’s XUV700 was the least predictable car in the AEB test.
  • The Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 stopped in the shortest distance.

New Delhi: ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are the latest leap in automotive technology, and carmakers are now integrating it into their cars across segments. To find out which manufacturer had the best system, autoX did a test comparing the Honda City, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Mahindra XUV700 and the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53. It was the Honda City, the least expensive car among the four, which came out on top in the AEB or Auto Emergency Braking Test.

AEB is the most crucial feature of ADAS as it automatically applies the brakes when it detects that a crash is imminent. All the cars in our test managed to come to a stop on their own, but it was the Honda City that came to a stop the farthest from the obstacle in place. While the Mahindra system has been around for some time now compared to the others and is thus not as updated as the others, it was surprising that the Honda City managed to comprehensively beat the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53.

The Honda City just didn’t stop the farthest from the human obstacle, but it was also the most composed of all the cars in the test. It detected the obstacle early and applied the brakes in the most progressive fashion out of all the others. The Ioniq 5 came in second in this regard, and the XUV700 and EQS 53 braked at the last second. However, while the XUV700 was inconsistent in its returns, the EQS 53 braked at the same marker each time, but it managed to brake later because of its huge brakes.

To give you a better idea of where things stand, here’s what autoX’s Road Test Editor Shivank Bhatt wrote in his verdict, “I would like to remind you that these ADAS systems aren’t built to a cost. A case in point is the City and its Honda Sensing tech. Even though it’s the most affordable ADAS-equipped car in the country, its assistance systems aren’t there for the heck of it. They work, and they work well. So, the next time someone like me tells you that ADAS is just a gimmick, don’t believe a word of it.”

To read more about the test and how all the cars fared in other ADAS tests that autoX conducted, read the full story on their website.

“Shockingly low levels of preventive healthcare among Indian women are unacceptable and need to be corrected. Join the movement if you care too”exhorts Marcom Veteran Shripad Kulkarni at the launch of WHXprts live

Mumbai, June 2, 2023:  Have you ever realised that a woman is actually the primary healthcare practitioner for every family – or rather every individual of her family? Yes, she takes care of everyone’s welfare……… everyone, except herself! There have been several instances where the health of the woman is often neglected for various reasons leading to severe ailments and fatalities in many cases.  The reason being the woman tends to keep her niggling health issues to herself and finds it awkward to speak out.

About 70 percent of serious health issues faced by women are preventable if she goes for regular health check-ups. It’s sad we do not give much importance to preventative healthcare. We need to change this statistic.” says Dr Esha Chainani, an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in Mumbai.

To change this, and making the woman speak out her issues, a purpose driven platform WHXprts (Women Health Experts) was today launched with an endeavour to make discussions revolving around “Women’s Healthcare” mainstream!

The online platform, an initiative by Marcom Veteran Mr Shripad Kulkarni has been launched with an intention to provide more impetus to the cause of preventive health of women. Apart from English, the platform will also be available to the women folk in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.

Speaking on the launch, Mr Shripad Kulkarni, says “We must focus more and more on Purpose Driven Brands and initiatives. Women’s Health experts.com or WH experts.com is a purpose driven initiative, to improve preventive healthcare among women of India. We will trigger questions and encourage women to be inquisitive about their health. We will ensure all the questions are answered in a simple manner by doctors and in 7 Indian languages. The platform will be powered by intuitive Search by topics, AI-assisted chatbots with Byte sized, comprehensive, information on all topics, moderated and validated by a panel of doctors..”

The 360-degree platform will, in due course, have doctors, patients and brands interact in a meta format E – Knowledge Expo too. It will have the doctors go live, expert videos, Interactive Knowledge Centre, games, and relevant shopping possibilities as well.

The launch will begin with the motherhood and pregnancy special. A public service campaign will promote visiting the Doctor in the preconception stage itself to reduce potential risks. Plans are also on the anvil to stage two online knowledge expositions on pregnancy and fertility.

So, ladies, it’s time to shed your inhibitions on health-related issues and log on to www.whxprts.com and take charge of your health!

In an era where technology constantly changes the way we live and work, virtual offices are rising as a catalyst, changing obsolete offices and bringing a new world of productivity, teamwork, and work-life balance.

As many companies have accepted work from home and digitalization, virtual offices are unleashing new potential, allowing employees to work from anywhere, anytime, and unlocking their full potential.

The market value of virtual offices is expected to increase from USD 40.51 billion in 2021 to USD 137.65 billion by 2029, with a CAGR of 16.52%.

Those days are gone when employees were bound to their chairs from 9 to 5. The virtual office has given more autonomy to employees and business owners over their work.

Businesses have the freedom to create their own work environment anywhere they want. Now your office could be a bustling metropolis, a comfortable café, or your own home.

Your workplace will be unique to your tastes and preferences.

A report issued by Maximum Market Research, a leading company in market research, says around 44 percent of companies have shuffled their offices to virtual offices post-Covid-19.

According to financeonline.com, 62% of employees are ready to switch companies to join a business that operates through virtual offices. This clearly indicates that the workforce is happier with the virtual offices. And it also reduces attrition rates in companies.

The other advantage of using a virtual office is cost reduction. Aaddress.in, The virtual office company says they have reduced up to 87% of the total cost of hiring and maintaining physical office space with their virtual office services.

Aaddress.in was established in 2018 and got its first client in 6 months. The reason behind so much delay was the rigid mind-set in the market that companies can only run effectively through physical offices.

In 2019, the company faces breaking the pattern in the market. And it succeeded in challenging the prevalent rigid mind-set.

COVID-19 was a blessing in disguise for Aaddress.in to prove the relevance and prowess of virtual offices.

In 2021, Aaddress.in was established as a leading brand in virtual office services, and according to reports, the company have 400 plus virtual offices across India in 2022.

In the fiscal year 2023-2024, the company is planning to start virtual office services outside India too. It is not confirmed yet, but CEO Ankur Goel has not denied the possibilities.

Coming back to the benefits of virtual offices:

A normal physical office setup may take days or even months, but a virtual office could be set up in minutes. With just a laptop and an internet connection, professionals can now seamlessly integrate their work and personal lives, achieving a healthier work-life balance.

This save money is giving economic advantages to the company opting for virtual offices.

By eliminating the need for a dedicated physical space, businesses can allocate their resources more efficiently, investing in other critical areas such as talent acquisition, product development, or marketing strategies.

This cost-saving approach has proven to be particularly beneficial for startups and small businesses looking to scale their operations without breaking the bank.

The other benefit is an increase in productivity among employees. Employees have shown a 13% increase in productivity in the first nine months of working in virtual offices.

The reason behind increased productivity is a sense of autonomy and freedom. With more freedom at work, employees can unleash their creativity.

Moreover, virtual offices foster a collaborative environment, even in a remote setting. Advanced communication and collaboration tools, such as video conferencing, instant messaging, and project management platforms, enable teams to stay connected, share ideas, and work together seamlessly.

Also, with cost reduction, virtual offices have proven to be time savers for both employees and companies. Commute time is saved. The cost and time of travelling, meetings, and conferences are also saved due to virtual offices.

Companies across the globe have realised the potential of virtual offices. Now they have access to a diverse talent pool that is not restricted by geographic location.

Even employees are happy because they don’t need to leave their house or city for their dream jobs. This boosts their morale to work harder and more efficiently.

It is not that there are no challenges to setting up a virtual office. Companies may face issues, but they are manageable.

Issues like communication gaps among teams and management. Lack of office culture and nonconcordance with the brand image of the organisation Communication problems can be resolved with the use of advanced tools. Video conferencing, instant messaging, and project management platforms.

These tools enable employees and teams to connect, share ideas, and work together regardless of their physical location.

The company’s culture can be imbued into the employees’ lives via routines and rituals. Simple routines like report scheduling and feedback sessions can have a huge impact on the work culture.

Similar to the work culture, if employees are trained to follow some regulations and work habits like weekly, monthly, and quarterly review meetings, the brand image of the company could be sustained.

Despite these challenges, businesses of all sizes are embracing the virtual office revolution. Multinational corporations are leveraging virtual workspaces to enhance global collaboration, break down silos, and promote cross-cultural understanding.

Meanwhile, freelancers and independent professionals are embracing the freedom and flexibility offered by virtual offices, which allow them to pursue their passions on their own terms.

As the virtual office trend continues to reshape the modern workforce, it is evident that it is here to stay. The digital age has given rise to a new breed of professionals, empowered by technology to work whenever, wherever, and however they choose.

Companies that adapt to this paradigm shift stand to gain a competitive edge by tapping into a vast talent pool and harnessing the collective power of diverse minds.
In conclusion, virtual offices have unlocked the power of work in the digital age with their flexibility.

India’s Economy Beats Expectations, Achieves 6.1% Growth in Q4; Fiscal Year 2022-23 Records 7.2% Expansion

In a remarkable turn of events, the Indian economy exceeded all projections by achieving a growth rate of 6.1% in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2022-23. The data released by the government on Wednesday showcased a significant improvement from the revised 4.5% growth witnessed in the previous quarter. This growth surge was primarily driven by a 5.5% expansion in the agriculture sector and a 4.5% growth in manufacturing. Furthermore, construction, services, and mining sectors also experienced impressive growth rates.

The economy’s performance throughout the fiscal year exhibited a growth rate of 6.1% during the March 2023 quarter, while the rates were recorded at 4.5% in October-December 2022 and 6.2% in July-September 2022. The initial quarter of April-June 2022 witnessed an outstanding growth rate of 13.1%. Although the high-frequency indicators indicated a positive momentum in April, with increased tax collections and a flourishing services sector, a decline in exports and imports posed some challenges. Nevertheless, apart from monsoon variations and geopolitical risks, the economy is expected to surpass the initial estimate of 6.5% for the current fiscal year (April 2023 to March 2024).

Several positive factors contribute to the stability of the economy, including a consistent current account deficit, rising foreign exchange reserves, and a decline in inflation to an 18-month low of 4.7%. However, risks such as below-normal monsoon, potential crop damage due to hot weather, and volatile global commodity prices that may fuel inflation should be considered. Economist Rumki Majumdar from Deloitte India commented on the pleasantly surprising yet somewhat expected GDP numbers.

The revival of the manufacturing sector is particularly noteworthy as it had been a concern for policymakers due to its modest recovery. Majumdar expressed enthusiasm about the strong growth in manufacturing and construction, highlighting their significance in attracting private investment in the upcoming quarters. With high levels of industry capacity utilization and increased government capital expenditure, private investments are expected to enter the market earlier than anticipated. Additionally, high-frequency data on credit disbursement and light diesel oil consumption indicate a rise in manufacturing activities for this fiscal year.

The Gross Value Added (GVA) growth for the fiscal year ending in March 2023 stood at 7%, compared to the previous year’s growth of 8.8%. Notably, the manufacturing sector witnessed accelerated GVA growth of 4.5% in the March 2023 quarter, in contrast to a meager 0.6% growth observed a year ago.

Uniting provides a platform for direct 1-1 communication with seniors and alumni who have studied the same course or at the same university, offering genuine insights and guidance.

Today’s students value authenticity and seek peer-to-peer connections rather than relying solely on corporate marketing. According to the Uniting market survey (2021 – 2022) conducted with 20,000 current students and study abroad aspirants,

  • 9% students felt that overseas education agents lack first-hand experience of studying abroad, so their guidance is not reliable
  • 85% of students felt that they received incorrect program and university recommendations from study abroad agents
  • 97% of students felt more confident about their study abroad journey after speaking with current students or alums.

Other findings of the survey were,

Top factors influencing aspiring students’ study abroad decisions.

  1. Financial aid & Scholarships
  2. Departments/majors/courses
  3. Location
  4. Career opportunities after graduation
  5. Quality of facility/teaching
  6. Student support services
  7. Sports/clubs/social life
  8. University’s ranking & reputation
  9. University’s values
  10. Influence from family and friends

Uniting is a user-friendly 1-1 chat application similar to WhatsApp that enables personalized communication and connecting aspiring students looking to study abroad with alums or current students through text, audio, and video calls. The  platform addresses the challenge of accessing up-to-date, reliable and accurate information about bachelor’s and master’s programs in preferred universities and countries. Verified mentors, including alums and current students, act as trusted sources, sharing personalized information and authentic student life experiences.

Initially launched for Ireland studies, Uniting has partnered with 100+ seniors and garnered over 6,000 downloads and 4,000 student interactions within two months of the Beta version launch.

After the successful beta launch, Uniting went public by unveiling the new version at an official launch event. Uniting’s Managing Director, Mr. Ilaya Bharathi, expressed his sentiments: “Having my dreams of studying abroad shattered by deceitful information was devastating! I was desperately seeking unbiased guidance and real-time insights that seemed elusive. The online information is often ambiguous, and the study abroad education agents’ advice lacks authenticity as they prioritize commercial interests, viewing aspiring students merely as’ customers.’ I know that countless aspiring students share this experience. That’s precisely why Uniting was created, with the app designed to cater to the needs of this generation. Additionally, Uniting conducted a comprehensive market survey across six states, engaging over 20,000 aspiring students looking to study abroad, further affirming these findings.”

He added “We are expanding our mentor network to cover other countries and aim to serve one million students by the end of 2025. Uniting is committed to empowering students with reliable information and personalized support, ensuring their study abroad journey is fulfilling and successful. Uniting has currently partnered exclusively with the top 200 International schools and 150 private Universities in India.”

Importance of Connecting with a Mentor

One significant finding from the survey highlights students’ concerns regarding making the wrong course or university choice, struggling to fit in on campus, and difficulties in making friends. Considering these factors, Uniting is specifically designed to provide prospective students with a free, safe, and secure platform to connect one-on-one with seniors and alums. Through these interactions, students can receive personalized support, genuine guidance, and authentic mentorship, enabling them to make well-informed study abroad decisions.

Uniting is now available for free download on the Apple App Store and Android Play Store.
