Voice actress Keiko Watanabe has released her original song called “ALIVE” on Tuesday the 29th of March. Keiko is well known for her acting as Momoko Suou in “THE iDOLM@STER Million Live!”, a popular and leading Japanese animation. She also acted as Narita Taishin in “Uma Musume Pretty Derby”. Even though she is well known for her cover songs on her official YouTube channel, this is her first original song released worldwide. This project started from her wish to leave milestones of, “My own voice right now”, and the release date is actually on her birthday.

She put her strong belief into the song that “I will never be satisfied with how things are now and I will keep on moving forward to the unknown future even going through a difficult path.” The song has a heavy rock feeling which is catchy and has a fast tempo. IIESoc and INTC to organize the Connections 2022 – a post-IETF Forum online

India Internet Engineering Society (IIESoc) & Industry Network Technology Council (INTC) will be organizing the 5th iteration of Connections as a joint India-US fully online event on April 2-8, 2022.  

The first Connections event was held in Bangalore in 2017 with a subsequent one also in Bangalore in 2018. The third Connections event was held in Kolkata in 2019 before we went fully online in 2020 because of the pandemic. This iteration will also be fully online, free, and generously sponsored by the Internet Society, APNIC Foundation, Juniper Networks & Cisco Systems. 

Connections is an annual event to get protocol developers, enterprises, academicians, and network operators together on the same platform to discuss the latest problems facing the internet and the solutions relevant to them.  The event includes discussions on network deployments, operations, and the design of networks and protocols. The aim is also to educate and prepare new members for Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) involvement from underserved geographies and constituencies. This aligns well with the IIESoc’s mission which is focused on bridging the gap between India and the internet standards whereas the INTC’s mission is focused on the impact of internet standards and technologies in the traditional “Brick-n-Mortar” Enterprise networks.

We have a great line of speakers such as Bob Hinden (co-inventor of IPv6), Dr. Paul Vixie (Internet Hall of Fame inductee), Adrian Farrel (GMPLS and PCE pioneer), Geoff Huston (Chief Scientist), etc. The aim of the event is also to bring in diverse voices from all stakeholders in the Internet Community. 

The event focuses on technology trends in IPv6 Extension headers, IoT, DNS, the latest trends in networking as well as problems that might be keeping our speakers up at night! This time we are also focusing beyond IETF and discussing other standards developing organizations (SDOs) with a focus on private 5G networks,  performance testing for Wi-Fi, and Broadband Forum User Services Platform (USP).

The esteemed speakers include service providers such as Satish Jamadagni (Reliance Jio) and Barbara Stark (ex-AT&T). From the network equipment vendor side we have Ron Bonica (Juniper), Dr. Pascal Thubert (Cisco), and Dr. Dirk Trossen (Huawei). We have a panel on IoT with special representations from Indian startups founders such as  Ravishankar G Shiroor (Stellapps), Rahul Jadhav (Accuknox), and Sundar Ramakrishnan (Pinaka Aerospace). Late Shri Morarji Desai, a senior leader of the Janata Party and the former Prime Minister of India, who was once opposed to the partition of Maharashtra and Gujarat on linguistic lines, but was deeply hurt by the neglect of Saurashtra in his last days, many of the dignitaries of Saurashtra, former royals had urged Morarji Desai to make Saurashtra a separate state. The Janata Party government fell even before Morarji Desai could take some initiative to create a separate Saurashtra.

On the initiative of Morarji Desai, Ashok Parekh, an activist from Gujarat, founded the Saurashtra Janata Paksha, but for a long time, the demand of the Saurashtra Janata Paksha for a separate Saurashtra remained pending.

The present national president of Janata party Navneet Chaturvedi and Saurashtra Janata Paksha president Shakti Upadhyaya came together to form a new political alliance Indian public alliance IPA, IPA is being named as a third front in the context of India’s upcoming politics.

According to Pulkit, “Artificial Intelligence and Automation are the future of the industrial sector. 80% of the manual tasks will be automated in the coming years. In the logistics and supply sector alone, the scope for AI is expected to grow to USD 10 Billion.”

The market size of the transport and the logistics sector is projected to grow from $1.21 billion in 2017 to $10.30 billion by 2030. The role of Artificial Intelligence in the sector is expected to grow at a CAGR of 17.8% between the said period.

According to the reports by Gartner on Transportation Management Software (TMS), the global market is expected to grow from $1.32 billion to $2.11 billion (from 2019 through 2024). This is a growth of 60% over a five-year period.

Commenting on future plans, Pulkit stated “We plan to introduce eight new modules in the coming year including DMS-ADAS. NB-IoT has been a long-standing dream that we are working on. We have clients in 15 countries and we plan to expand to at least five other countries this year. We will achieve all this without compromising on our quality, user experience, and innovation.”
