Setting the Tone: Money Habits That Decide Your Future

The first session of the day, “Money Habits That Decide Your Future,” was led by Vishnu M, NISM-certified XA-XB Mentor at Entri Finacademy. Vishnu addressed the psychological and behavioural foundations of wealth-building, urging participants to adopt practical, long-term financial habits over speculative decision-making. His talk provided a relatable entry point for young professionals and early-stage investors eager to achieve financial discipline.

The Highlight: Sharique Samsudheen’s Live Portfolio Showcase

The spotlight moment belonged to Sharique Samsudheen, Co-founder and CEO of Marketfeed, who took the audience on a rare, transparent walkthrough of his personal investment portfolio in the session titled “Real Money, Real Lessons.”

In a first for any investor-education event in Kerala, Sharique disclosed how he:

  • Diversifies his investments across equities, mutual funds, start-ups, and alternative assets.
  • Builds multiple income streams from entrepreneurship, educational initiatives, and strategic reinvestments.
  • Manages risk vs reward with a disciplined allocation model.
  • Shared his top bets for the future, green energy, digital finance, and sustainable enterprises that, he believes, will define the next decade of growth.

Attendees described the session as “a masterclass in practical investing,” praising its honesty and real-world relevance.

Interactive Panel Discussion, Money Talks: Start-ups, Markets, Investment & Health

The afternoon panel discussion, moderated by Elizabeth Cherian, turned into one of the most engaging segments of the day. Panelists Sharique Samsudheen, Mohammed Hisamudheen, and Sujith S explored a wide spectrum of topics:

  • Future investment trends shaping India’s next decade.
  • Personal philosophies on money: how financial freedom intertwines with lifestyle choices.
  • Career paths in finance and entrepreneurship, from humble beginnings to building thriving ventures.
  • Long-term outlooks on markets and start-ups, including AI, tech education, and sustainable business models.

The session concluded with a lively audience Q&A, where participants got to ask direct questions about trading habits, career transitions, and personal finance. The candid, conversational tone of the panel made it one of the most relatable and talked-about parts of the meetup.

What This Means for Entri Finacademy & the Financial Learning Community

The success of the meetup marks a milestone for Entri Finacademy’s mission to democratise financial education and empower a new generation of investors and traders. By creating a platform where insights meet action, the institute reaffirmed its commitment to bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world market practice.

In the words of an attendee: “It’s rare to see an event where you not only listen but walk away with strategy and mindset shifts. This changed how I view my portfolio.”

The high attendee turnout and positive feedback also signal growing interest in financial literacy, especially among younger professionals in Kerala and neighbouring regions. Entri Finacademy is poised to capitalise on this momentum with upcoming initiatives, courses and community engagements.

What Attendees Took Away

  • Clear frameworks for building sustainable money habits that drive long-term wealth, not just short-term gain.
  • Live portfolio insights from seasoned professionals showing what works and what doesn’t in current market conditions.
  • A broadened definition of investing: integrating start-up mindset, market participation and personal health as part of financial success.
  • Practical networking opportunities with peers and leaders, enabling collaborative learning beyond the event.
  • A renewed sense of confidence, clarity and direction in navigating volatile markets.

Twin sisters Kavea & Ramya started KALANECA as two dreamers who fell in love with the art of handloom. Coming from Kakinada of Andhra Pradesh, they were passionate to bring the focus to a small coastal village in Andhra Pradesh called UPPADA, where handmade silk sarees told stories that have been woven for over 75 years. For years, that legacy quietly thrived, known only to a few connoisseurs.

In 2014, with one weaver and ten looms, they decided to bring those stories to the world. The small step became the beginning of Kalaneca – House of Handloom, born out of the belief that the grace of Uppada deserves a global stage.

What began as a passion project has today grown into a family of 135 weavers and 160 looms, yet the essence remains unchanged – every saree is handwoven, never mass-produced. Each piece carries with it the time, silk, and the soul of the artisans behind it. Through Kalaneca, they’ve taken Uppada’s art beyond India – to the USA, UAE, Australia, South Africa, and many more countries.

KALANECA gave birth to the concept of Lightweight Luxury. Keeping the grand designs of Indian heritage and the Uppada weaving, seamlessly integrated the beauty of the concept, making it one of the most comfortable yet desirable sarees.

Over the years, Kalaneca has found admirers among HNI clients, bureaucrats, and through leaders from across industries. Remarkable women such as Radhika Gupta, Lola Kutty, Seema Anand, Kirron Kher, and Shobita Dhulipala adorn Uppada silks.

Their signature innovation – The Queen’s Gambit Jamdani saree, took the tradition of Jamdani motifs of Uppada and gave them a modern reinterpretation, ensuring that the designs, techniques, and the looms themselves remain alive for generations to come.

Today, Uppada’s future looks brighter than ever. As Uppada’s name finds its place among the world’s most loved handlooms, it is Kalaneca that has played a meaningful part in that journey. The world is slowly falling in love with butter silks and the grace of light-weight luxury, and at the heart of that is Uppada, brought to life by Kalaneca. Because when something is handmade with heart, it doesn’t just stay local – it becomes eternal.

New Delhi [India], October 28: Robotic knee replacement surgery is widely considered the future–and increasingly, the present–of orthopaedics.

The technology represents a significant leap from traditional manual techniques, fundamentally transforming the key aspects of a Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA).

Dr Dibya Singha breakdown why it is viewed as the definitive future of the procedure:

1. Unprecedented Precision and Personalization

  • Millimeter Accuracy: The core advantage is the ability to execute the pre-operative plan with extreme precision. Robotic systems restrict the surgeon’s tools (like a saw blade or burr) to a defined area, ensuring bone cuts are performed to the sub-millimeter level, which is difficult to achieve manually.
  • Customized Planning: Before the procedure, a CT scan or X-ray data creates a detailed 3D virtual model of the patient’s unique knee anatomy. The surgeon uses this model to plan the optimal implant size, position, and alignment–a plan the robot helps enforce during surgery. This personalization leads to a better-fitting, more “natural feeling” knee.

2. Improved Patient Outcomes

  • Better Alignment: Optimal alignment is crucial for the longevity of the implant. Studies increasingly show that robotic assistance achieves more accurate and consistent alignment, which is expected to reduce wear and tear and extend the life of the replacement.
  • Less Tissue Trauma: By providing visual and haptic (force-feedback) guidance, the robot helps the surgeon minimize injury to the surrounding ligaments, tendons, and soft tissues. This can lead to:
  • Less blood loss.
  • Reduced post-operative pain.
  • Faster initial recovery and mobilization.

3. Integration with Advanced Technology

The future of robotic surgery isn’t just the arm itself; it’s the convergence with other technologies:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): Dr. Dibya Singha added AI is being integrated to analyze massive amounts of patient data, allowing the system to suggest the ideal, patient-specific implant position and balance before the surgeon even makes the first cut, further optimizing the plan.
  • Augmented Reality (AR): Newer systems are exploring AR and optical tracking, which could make the systems smaller, more agile, and potentially eliminate the need for pre-operative CT scans in some cases, streamlining the process.
  • Smart Implants: The development of “smart implants” that can wirelessly transmit data on the knee’s movement and function post-surgery will allow surgeons to get real-time, objective feedback on how well the robotic-assisted procedure is performing over the patient’s lifetime.

In essence, robotic assistance is transitioning from an advanced option to the standard of care because it elevates the surgeon’s capability, minimizes human error, and delivers a highly customized solution for one of the most common and complex orthopaedic procedures.
