On April 3rd, a new radio show to connect anime fans around the world called “ANIME SONGS PARTY!” will start broadcasting on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting, a Japanese radio station. Anime fans around the world can participate in the program by singing cover songs of their favorite anime. This program welcomes sessions from all anime fans from India and around the world. Fans can enjoy anime songs by sharing their own singing content through various platforms like YouTube and TikTok with the official hashtag #ANIMESONGSPARTY

‘Anime Songs’, which is very popular in Japan, also enjoys widespread popularity across the world and India, alongside Japanese Anime content. These songs are loved by many audiences in different countries and regions despite of the language barriers. This new program called, “ANIME SONGS PARTY!” will introduce content from anime fans including ‘videos of them singing anime songs’ and ‘videos of them playing the anime songs.’

How does it work?

On the program, anime songs sound samples will be uploaded through YouTube and YouTube Shorts. The viewer can use these samples as their karaoke sound source to sing anime songs. Content uploaded with the hashtag ‘#ANIMESONGSPARTY’ will be re-shared on the program. Furthermore, the hosts Yohei Onishi and Singing Cosplayer Hikari will join the listener’s sessions and listen to the cover songs which were created on the program.

Yohei Onishi is an anime singing artist as well as a singer for Tokusatsu (special effects movies). He sang opening theme songs of TV anime series like “Sasaki and Miyano”, “Mashin Sentai Kirameiger” and “Shin Hana no keiji’ among others. Singing Cosplayer Hikari, a worldwide popular cover singer, is the other host of the program. She is an extremely active YouTuber and a TikToker. Her Vocaloid song cover, ‘Yume To Hazakura’ by Hatsune Miku ranked No.1 in various J-POP charts in 14 countries. ‘Muscles Please!’ her other cover song, created in collaboration with popular Nakayama Kinni-Kun is also immensely popular inside and outside of Japan.

“ANIME SONGS PARTY!” is a collaboration with various media and events outside of Japan which are related to Anime and Japanese culture. Once the program is on air, videos including studio sessions will be shared on YouTube channels of various media like, ‘Anime News Network’ (U.S.A), ‘Manga News’ (France),‘HYPER JAPAN’ (U.K.), and ‘GwiGwi’(Indonesia). Through this initiative, the cover songs created by anime fans will be shared with Anime fans all around the world.

The program will welcome guests such as anime singers, actors, actresses, comedians, and YouTubers, as well as anyone who wants to join and sing cover songs from India and all across. The first guest for the program, on Sunday the 3rd of April, is Hironobu Kageyama. His songs from his latest original album, ‘Hangeki no Ouchi Rock’, will be introduced during this program. He will also play a session of selected anime songs which he especially loves.

Japanese comedian and bodybuilder Nakayama Kinni-kun has released the music video of a cover song ‘Muscles Please!’ worldwide recently. He made this cover song video in collaboration with singer, Singing Cosplayer Hikari, who is internationally well known.

Singing Cosplayer Hikari is also a famous YouTuber who has been consistently releasing her work to the world. This music video, which is a collaboration between Nakayama Kinni-kun and Singing Cosplayer Hikari, is on air every Saturday till end of March, as the ending theme song of the TV program “Doyou wa nani suru?”. This nationwide TV program, “Doyou wa nani suru?” is on both Kansai Telecasting corporation and Fuji Television Network. Also, this song is on air through Family Mart’s inside shop radio program called “Mix Fam with your voice”. Family Mart is a Japanese convenience store franchise chain and has 16,000 stores in Japan.

Nakayama Kinni-kun, was born in 1978 and he is from Fukuoka prefecture. He is a comedian and bodybuilder. He moved to L.A. to study muscles in 2006 and graduated in the Kinesiology and Athletics Department of Santa Monica College. He won the grand prix at 75 kg category at the 29th Tokyo Nobis Bodybuilding Championship in May 2021 and he has been very successful in his career as a bodybuilder.
